I just returned from A Buffalo Tours bike trip and would like to take a moment ogive you some feedback about one of our guides. Our trip was from Bangkok to Saigon- through Cambodia.
Our guide in Cambodia Vuttyha was incredible. From the moment he met us- until the day we left into Vietnam he was respectful, courteous, professional and in every way helpful. His personal knowledge of the area and people added another dimension to the trip. In addition he is a very strong rider- which is important- since our group ws comprised of some very strong riders-
Vuttyha was completly responsive to all our requests and frequently anticipated our needs and met them before we evan asked.
I have riden and raced all over the world- including Laos, Thailand, Nepal and other Asian countries. I can say without any reservation that Vuttyha was the best guide I have ever had In addition our driver Saveth was equally professional and impressive.
I am planning another bike trip to Cambodia for the end of this year- and would only want Vuttyha and Saveth as my guide and driver.

i've recently returned from a tour of both Vietnam and Cambodia included a tour of Ankor wat and Phnom Penh. It was a wonderful trip and I want to congratulate you on the organisation and skills of the tour guides. i was not as well prepared for CAmbodia as I like to be, however the guide Vuttha Dam was very informative and I learned much about the history and culture as appropriate to the visits we made. He was also very helpful and kind, helping the group in finding good restaurants and other locations, it seemed nothing was too much trouble. I must congratulate you on the quality of person and their knowledge for this tour of Cambodia.

We have been home just over a week and are still glowing from our fantastic holiday despite coming back to a freezing house as the boiler died in our absence! We saw the Windridges last weekend but have yet to get together for a full debriefing! It was such fun being with them.
Thank you so much for organising such a memorable trip, we loved it and were very impressed how everything happened so smoothly – it was pure luxury to be met at airports, guided around, be able to get out of the heat in air-conditioned and comfortable hotels – all of that and more. One of the best things about it was that the environment and the culture were completely new experiences for us and that’s always exciting. Loved the sightseeing, the frantic markets, the teeming street life, the bikes in Hoi An (and Mr Yaly there!), La Veranda, the temples which were astounding. The only place we didn’t like at all was Phnom Penh (hotel good – the room was enormous!) but didn’t regret going there as it helps to be able to visualise it’s sad history.
One small point to make about the tours is that I think it would be helpful for the clients to have a choice as to whether or not they want a set lunch included. This came as a surprise to us and as far as I was concerned however good the food (and it was a lovely restaurant in Hanoi) it is just too much in the middle of a hot day, especially if you are planning dinner in the evening.
We finished with an excellent guide in Siem Reap – his name is Vuthy, his English is excellent and he knows his subject extensively. He was very good as he just went the extra mile all the time – for instance taking us through the east gate at Angkor Wat which was very quiet, instead of the west gate where crowds of people enter, being quite insistent that we should see Bantay Sreay (spelling?) which was further away but well worth going – a beautiful small temple of yellow and pink sandstone with the most exquisite carvings.
Thank you for all your meticulous planning and endless patience with our numerous queries – all resulted in a fabulous holiday. Please pass thanks on to Huong too.

We recently had a holiday with the Adventure Company both in Vietnam and Cambodia.
I would just like to pass on our thanks to the guides provided Tim in Vietnam and Dam Vuttha in Cambodia. Both were very knowledgeable on all the tours which we went on.
Dan Vuttha in particular went well out of his way to ensure we were looked after since we were in Cambodia at the annual Holiday 1st Nov - 3rd Nov and of course it was extremely busy in Phnom Penh. He ensured that we could get to a restaurant in the evenings since the tourist waterfront area was so busy. Made sure we were provided with transport etc etc. He made sure we had a more enjoyable time in Phnom Penh as it was a nightmare along the river and we would just have had to eat in our hotel. Also in Seam Reap he recommended restaurants to us here which were very good and local food which we all liked.

I am just writing to thank you and your colleagues for a great holiday. My trip ended in Cambodia on the 25/07/09, and i dont think that i could have had a better time in the time that i had available without the help of my guide Savon, and his colleagues and friends. They welcomed me into their homes, and explained elements of their culture that i would have otherwise not have understood, so i will deffinatly recommend this trip to anyone that is considering coming to Cambodia.

My name is Yvonne Feldman, and i have just returned from a 3 week trip in Vietnam and Cambodia.
We had a terrific time, and I wanted to congratulate Buffalo Tours on a well organised and professional tour.
We booked through our travel agent in Melbourne, Australia, and as it was our first time on such an adventure, we weren't sure what to expect.
Starting off in Hanoi, our guide Mr Tang, was very informative and gave us a great introduction to the country. He was a very intelligent man, and kept us interested, as he chatted away on some long car trips, so we learn't about the country and it's history. He was helpful, polite and a great guide.
We worked our way down to Saigon, and then on to Cambodia.
In Siem Reap we were greeted by our guide Mr Vuttha Dam. We found Vuttha to be an exceptional guide, very warm and kind hearted, and we thoroughly enjoyed our few days with him. Anything we asked for, he arranged, and made us feel so welcome in
Cambodia. His English was excellent and his explanations of the history and people were terrific.
I think that the difference between Vuttha and any other guide was that he was truly genuine - he wasn't pushy and gave just the right amount of explanations.

Hello to you - it is Peter and Sally Jones - we did a tour with Buffalo Tours all around Vietnam in April - and ever since then I have meant to send you an email - isn't that terrible - but - better late than never!
I especially meant to email you because when we were on Cat Ba Island with Chieu, we climbed up Ngu Lam Peak, and Chieu picked up all the litter and water bottles and carried them back down the Mt - I promised him I would send these photos - maybe Buffalo can use them to tell people you are an eco friendly company? We were very impressed that he bothered to do this - he was a very good guide’……. ‘Actually Minh, the whole tour that you worked out for us was WONDERFUL - we have recommended you to a lot of people - hope it brings business to you’. …… ‘We thoroughly enjoyed all our tours in Hanoi, Bac Ha, Sapa, Halong, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Dalat and in HCMC - Sapa, Halong Bay, Cat Ba and the Mekong were highlights - and the Cu Chi tunnels were well worth the visit. Actually every day has wonderful memories - which all come flooding back when we read my diary! :-)…………’

We enjoyed ourselves tremendously, Accommodations at the Palm Garden Hotel in Hoi An, and the Majestic Hotel in HCMC were outstanding, We ate very well at the buffet breakfasts in the hotels. My favorite places were Hoi An, HCMC and the Mekong. The guides showed us the sights and also oriented us so that we could explore on our own, and I liked those adventures best. In Hoi An on our free time, we walked along the beach. We hiked into town from the hotel using back routes along the dikes and paths through residential and farming areas. One day local boatmen gave us a lift partway, paddling us up through the canals to their village. We shopped in the market and at the clothing and handicraft stores. Dynamic HCMC seemed familiar due to my recollection of my stay there during the early '60's. It was also new, with new construction, traffic and enterprise everywhere. The Vietnamese impressed me with their tremendous energy and friendliness. We ate Vietnamese food very well in restaurants and on the street. Now I particularly miss not having the delicious tropical fruits for breakfast each day. We enjoyed the Mekong cruise on the Bassac, especially the floating market in Cantho. In a year or so I hope to explore other Mekong areas, particularly smaller towns and nature preserves."
