DAY 1 VIETNAM (Ho Chi Minh city) – SVAY RIENG (Cycle 44 km)
After your arrival in Saigon, we will assist you in transferring to the border town of Moc Bai. Here you cross the border to Cambodia where the Cambodian cycling guide is waiting. Cycle to Svay Rieng town; enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Svay Rieng (L,D)
DAY 2 SVAY RIENG – NEAK LEUNG (Cycle 62 km)
Early breakfast. Cycle on a good tarmac road into the beautiful green countryside. Along the way you will see rice fields and water buffalos nearby the road. Enjoy a packed lunch before continuing to the ferry town of Neak Leung, where you will spend the night. (B,L)
DAY 3 NEAK LEUNG – PHNOM PENH (Cycle 60 km)
After breakfast cycle to the ferry boat to cross the lower Mekong river. After crossing the river, cycle 60km to the capital city of Phnom Penh. After lunch cycle few more kilometers before crossing the French colonial Monivong Bridge to the hotel. Overnight in Phnom Penh. (B,L)
DAY 4 PHNOM PENH (Cycle 35 km)
Today be guided through this bustling city to explore the main sights by bike, including Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. In the afternoon, cycle to the Independence Monument, Tuol Sleng Museum and Choeung Ek killing fields. (B)
DAY 5 PHNOM PENH – SKUN (Cycle 77 km)
Cycle over the Japanese bridge on National Road No 6 to Skun town. The first 15 km is through this bustling city sharing the road with a variety of modes of transport, many of them adaptations on a basic motorbike. Afterwards continue north towards the town of Skun, lying at the crossroads between the north and east of the country. (B,L)
DAY 6 SKUN – KAMPONG THOM (Cycle 85 km)
Another scenic day of cycling, surrounded by paddy fields and huge open plains, the scenery broken only by sugar palm trees, wooden huts and pagodas. After a packed lunch, continue cycling on the National Road No. 6. Enjoy views of Santuk Mountain in the distance before arriving in Kampong Thom, a small but energetic town with a fascinating market.(B,L)
DAY 7 KAMPONG THOM – KAMPONG KDEI (Cycle 83 km)
Cycle beneath the roadside palms past Preak Pros Lake and enter Kampng Svay district. After lunch, cycle through an area that was formerly the front line of the Khmer Rouge in the 1980s and signs of war and subsequent de-mining campaigns become more prevalent, hitting home how much has changed in this country in the last few years. DAY 8 KAMPONG KDEI – SIEM REAP (Cycle 60 km)
Today cycle on an easy road and a magnificent 12th century stone carved bridge. Lunch in a small town called Dam Dek before the final afternoon’s ride to Angkor, a majestic climax to your cycling trip. (B,L)
DAY 9 SIEM REAP – ANGKOR
Today is free to explore the incredible temples and ruins that make up the complex of Angkor. (B)
DAY 10 SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE
After breakfast the rest of the day is free at leisure. (B)
