Rock climbing is tailored to suit the needs of beginners through to experienced climbers and is run by rock climbing instructors professionally accredited in the USA. This really is the alternative Halong Bay trip for the adventurous!

Departing from Hanoi, this tour takes you to Cat Ba Island in Halong Bay for an afternoon of exploring. Spend the evening on Cat Ba Island and go rock climbing on day two (Halong Bay offers some of the best rock climbing in South East Asia and is perfect for beginners & experienced climbers). Otherwise go hiking, swimming or just relaxing on the island’s islets. On the evening of day two, take a boat to Nam Cat Island, where you will stay in a simple bamboo hut for the night. Have a BBQ dinner on the beach when you arrive to Nam Cat Island. On the final day board your junk to go kayaking in secluded lagoons and have lunch in the bay before returning to Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Day 1 : Hanoi – Cat Ba Island

Pick up at your hotel and private transfer to Hai Phong City with your guide. Take an express boat to Cat Ba Island and transfer to your hotel.  Afternoon free at leisure - Option to cycle through Cat Ba Island National Park, swim, trek or explore town. Overnight at Cat Ba Island Resort. (L)

Day 2: Cat Ba – Rock Climbing

Today is all about adventure and fun with experienced, professionally accredited rock climbing guides taking you to the best climbing sites in the bay. In the afternoon take a boat to Nam Cat Island for an evening of simplicity, stars and seafood. Enjoy a Vietnamese style BBQ dinner on the beach. Overnight in twin bamboo huts (BLD)

Note: BBQ dinner is only available for group of 10 people onwards

Day 3: Cat Ba - Hanoi

After a local style breakfast on the beach, board a traditional junk and cruise the bay. Your Buffalo Tours guide will take you kayaking and exploring small private beaches to swim and relax (weather permitting). Enjoy lunch on the bay before cruising back to Cat Ba Island to board the express boat to Hai Phong.  Depart for Hanoi with memories of an adventure that will stay with you for a lifetime (BL)

Note: Shoe size needs to be advised prior to trip commencement or at-least one day  upon arrival
