Guests welcome the new day with a morning yoga class in an ancient lakeside pagoda. After breakfast they are transferred from Hanoi’s luxurious Sofitel Metropole Hotel to a lush valley in the Vietnamese countryside. The afternoon is spent on a guided cycling tour through tiny villages of the ethnic H’mong people. After a water buffalo cart race through the rice paddy fields, a cocktail party is held in a candlelit limestone cave with traditional dance performances by the local villagers.
