Angkor from the Sky

Day 1: Arrive Siem Reap
On arrival transfer to your luxury hotel. Afternoon visit of Banteay Srei Temple. Banteay Srey translates to “Citadel of the Women” and displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art. The walls are indeed covered with some of the most beautiful carvings of any Angkorian temple. In the late afternoon drive to Phnom Krom, overlooking Tonle Sap Lake for champagne and hors d’oeuvres while watching the sunset.
 
Day 2: Angkor Complex
Sunrise at Sra Srang Baray (Basin). Originally constructed by the same architect as Pre Rup, it was then remodeled in the 12th century by Jayavarman VII. Enjoy a picnic breakfast on the banks of the Baray and have time to relax. Visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom as well as Ta Prohm Temple. Ta Prohm has been only partially restored and thus offers an interesting insight on how the Angkor Complex looked before being rediscovered by the French explorers. Return to your hotel for lunch and relaxation.
 
In the cool of the afternoon, enjoy a helicopter ride over the Angkor Temple Complex and Tonle Sap Lake. Visit Angkor Wat, the most visually, architecturally and artistically impressive temple of the whole complex. In the evening enjoy a traditional dinner dance show in Angkor Village.
 
Day 3: Depart Siem Reap
Visit “Les Artisans d’Angkor” in the morning. Free time at leisure until your transfer to the airport.
