Vietnam is an ideal place to not only have a great holiday, but also contribute to the local community. Volunteer projects include teaching English, organic gardening, caring for children in an orphanage, refurbishing schools in poor communities and many more depending on your skills or level of interest. Skills such as teaching, (although you can teach without qualifications) or medical or physiotherapy are highly valued.
The hours of work will vary depending upon the type of work chosen, with a typical day including 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon with weekends free. Depending on your interests you may like to involve the local community in arts and crafts, singing or dancing just to name a few other options.
