Day 2: Langkawi
In the morning, head to a showcase of authentic batik paintings, composed using wax and traditionally made dyes. Then, immerse yourself in local folklore at the tomb of Mahsuri, a beautiful maiden believed to have cursed the island during her tragic execution.
Later, head over to Air Hangat Village for a dip in its rejuvenating hot springs and tiered fountains before visiting the famous mural depicting an ancient brawl between two giants. Afterwards, head over to a local cottage factory to witness the farming of gamats, a unique species of sea cucumber harvested for their leathery skin and medicinal properties.
Back at your hotel; embark on a romantic sunset dinner aboard a luxury yacht as you cruise the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea. Take in the gorgeous tropical sun setting over the horizon as you feast a sumptuous Malay barbeque and sip cocktails from the open bar. Take a twilight dip and let the gentle waves wash over you as you relax in the boat’s sunbathing nets.
Day 3: Langkawi
After breakfast, embark on a five-hour safari of Langkawi’s mangroves, home to a thriving ecosystem of monkeys, kingfishers, monitor lizards and mud crabs congregating along the riverbanks. Start at Kilim and weave your way up the eastern path of the mangroves by boat, stopping at the Bat Cave to witness thousands of bats dangling from the ceiling.
Later, get up close with local marine life at a fish farm. Wade into the water and hand feed majestic stingrays in their natural habitat before snapping photos of native White Head Eagles diving to the water to collect food. Finish your journey at the white sands of Tanjung Rhu beach and unwind as you take a dip in the gentle surf.
Tuck into a tasty seafood lunch at the Floating Fish Farm Restaurant before heading back to your resort for an afternoon and evening of free time.
