ITINERARY BY DAY
This compact city tour of Kota Kinabalu is the perfect way to learn about this fascinating city nestled on the Malaysian tip of the Borneo peninsula.
Start the tour with a brief introduction of Kota Kinabalu’s history, followed by a visit to Signal Hill, providing a panoramic view of the city’s commercial precinct and the surrounding landscape. From here, snap photos of Kota Kinabalu’s tallest building, the Wisma Tun Mustapha, otherwise known as the Sabah Foundation Building.
From there, drive through the streets of Kota Kinabalu and through the University Malaysia Sabah before stopping in at the Pu Toh Tze Buddhist Temple en-route to the Sabah State Museum.
Housing Sabah’s a rich selection of antiques and cultural monuments, this impressive state museum contains artefacts dating back some 40,000 years. Stroll through its lavish exhibits and hear about the province’s fascinating history before continuing on to the State Mosque.
Finish the day with a trip to the local handicraft market for some retail therapy.
