ITINERARY BY DAY
Day 1: SENGIGGI BEACH
Arrive at Lombok International Airport and meet with our friendly airport driver before making your way to your hotel in Sengiggi Beach. Enjoy the rest of your day at your own leisure, taking a stroll along the beach or unwinding by the pool.
Day 2: SASAK VILLAGES
After breakfast, make your way south passing through the towns of Ampenan, Mataram and Cakranegara.
Make your first pit stop at Banyumulek Village, where single horse-drawn carts, or “cidomo”, can be found and taken around the village. Here, enjoy a brief and horse and cart ride around these sleepy streets before paying a visit to one of the local pottery centres that famously export their products all over the world. Watch skilled craftsmen at work before trying your hand at creating your own souvenir to take home with you.
Afterwards, continue driving inland to Sukarara Village, known for its fabulous weavings of ikat and songket fabrics. Here, observe skilled artisans weave on a simple hand-loom, designing patterns derived from traditional Lombok symbols. Then, get behind the loom and craft your own design before trying on some traditional Sasak costumes for some memorable photos.
Continue on to Selung Belanak Beach, known for its pristine white sands and beautiful bay area. Take a quick dip before heading to Mawun Beach, referred to locally as “surfer’s heaven”. Afterwards, head to “Gua Raksasa” giant cave and Gunung Perabu Lookout Point, to take in some of Lombok’s most breathtaking scenery.
In the afternoon, settle down for a relaxing set lunch at Kuta Beach before continuing your tour of the southern beaches, including Tanjung Aan Beach and Seger Beach. Here, take a stroll along their magnificent shorelines and let the sea breeze fill your lungs before taking a dip in the gentle surf.
Finish the day with a visit to Sade Traditional Village, just 15 minutes from Kuta and located in the midst of a soaring mountain range. Here, get a glimpse inside a traditional Balinese house, or “Bale Tani”, built generations ago and in the unique Lombok style.
Day 3: LOMBOK SENGIGGI
After breakfast, spend the day relaxing at your hotel and indulging in a complimentary 2-hour couple’s spa package. Sit back, relax and let the masseuse massage away your worries before enjoying a romantic candle-lit dinner under the stars.
Day 4: LOMBOK SENGIGGI – GILI NAGGU
After breakfast, make your way to Tawun Beach and board one of the local outriggers for a day on the water. If you don’t have snorkelling gear, you can pick some up at one of the many hire shops located on the waterfront.
Your boat trip begins with a stop at Gili Kedis, the smallest islet to be found nearby. This islet is also known as “Honeymooners Island” due to its totally secluded waters; with no-one else but you and your boat crew. Explore the incredible underwater habitats at your fingertips and spot colourful fish darting between the coral. For complete privacy, you can request to be dropped off and picked up at lunch time.
Next, continue on to Gili Sudak for a delicious seafood barbeque lunch. Choose your own catch of the day before watching the chef throw it on the barbecue and serve it with delicious array of soups, vegetables and fried potatoes.
Lastly, complete your island hopping tour with a final stop at the secluded islet of Gili Nanggu. Dive overboard and savour its prime snorkelling and swimming spots before heading back to Tawun Beach.
Day 5: LOMBOK SENGIGGI – GILI TRAWANGAN
After breakfast, get picked up from your hotel and make your way inland, making a stop at the lively Gunung Sari Morning Market. Here, browse the stalls with your guide and watch the locals travelling in from surrounding areas to hawk their goods and fresh produce. Then, continue on to Sedimen Mountain Village to watch sago palm juice being boiled into brown sugar, before heading to Baun Pusuk Pass to handfeed native monkeys.
Arriving in Teluk Kodeq Harbour, board a local outrigger boat to Gili Trawangan, the most popular gili in Lombok. Located on the North of Lombok, it was previously known as the “party island”.
Upon arrival, choose between a wide selection of activities, with the option to swim, snorkel or simply lie on the sand. Otherwise, take the opportunity to explore the island by horse-drawn cart. Afterwards, settle down for a set lunch at a local restaurant, before checking in to your hotel.
Day 6: GILI
Spend the day at your leisure with the option to relax at your hotel or explore the island at your own pace. If you want to make the most of the island, snorkelling or island-cycling are highly recommended.
Day 7: GILI – LOMBOK
In the morning, enjoy some leisure time before being picked up and transferred to the airport for your return flight.
