Day 1: Arrive In Hanoi
Arrive into Hanoi and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Halong Bay
After breakfast you will be driven to Halong Bay. This two-day cruise gives you the chance to enjoy the bay from the luxury of a private junk. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Hanoi/Overnight Train To Hue
This morning, the boat continues to cruise around the bay to find more secluded areas to either swim or kayak in. At midday, return to the main harbor to transfer back to Hanoi. You will have a day room at a small hotel to freshen up before dinner. Tonight you will head southwards to Hue by sleeper train. (B,L)
Day 4 : Arrive In Hue (Cycle 30 km)
After checking into the hotel in Hue, the Buffalo Tours crew and support vehicle will get you fitted to your bikes. This afternoon, you will warm up your leg muscles with a visit to the Imperial citadel and ride along Perfume River to the famed Thien Mu Pagoda. (B,L)
Day 5: Hoi An (Cycle 50 km)
After breakfast ride to the Royal tombs. It is excellent cycling down narrow paths and through small villages. Return to Hue for lunch, then drive to Danang before cycling on to the World heritage town of Hoi An. (B,L)
Day 6: Hoi An
Hoi An is a delightful town and was a major sea port in the Middle Ages. Spend the morning walking the narrow streets and admiring the architecture and history during a morning tour. Free afternoon ( B,L)
Day 7: Quang Ngai (Cycle 110 km)
Leave Hoi An early to start our day of cycling. The route will take you along the coastline and through rural areas, passing rice paddies, ancient Cham ruins dating back to the 7th century. Cycle the back roads to the village of My Lai. (B,L)
Day 8: Kon Tum (Cycle 85 km)
Today is a more challenging day as you head uphill into the Highlands. You will ride past many remote villages, tropical forest, over bridges and along quiet, scenic roads. Overnight in Kon Tum. (B, L)
Day 9: Buon Me Thuot (Cycle 110 km)
Today leave Kon Tum by bus, heading into the countryside and start another spectacular day of cycling. Today there are gentle rolling hills all day making the cycling easy. (B,L)
Day 10 : Dalat (Cycle 100 km)
After a short drive, you will start the day’s cycling at the edge of a coffee plantation. Leave the warmer temperature behind as you pedal into the cooler climates of Dalat. (B,L)
Day 11: Nha Trang (Cycle 70 km)
This morning you will visit King Bao Dai's Summer Palace, cycling through beautiful country scenery. After lunch, drive to Xong Pha pass. From here you will set off on bike for 36 km winding descent through the cool forest toward the coast. Continue to Nha Trang by bus. (B,L)
Day 12: Nha Trang
Nha Trang is Vietnam’s premier beach town. Today, there is a cycle-free day to enjoy the clear blue waters and relaxed ambiance of Nha Trang. (B)
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City
This morning drive to the airport to take the morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. In the afternoon, you will be escorted on a half day city tour (B,L)
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels
Drive to the remarkable Cu Chi tunnels, home to 5,000 VC troops during the Vietnam/U.S. War. Return to Ho Chi Minh City after lunch for free afternoon. (B)
Day 15: Depart Ho Chi Minh City
Your trip concludes with a transfer to the airport for onward flight. (B)
