Day 1: Hanoi
Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport our guide will accompany you to your hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour
Hanoi’s history dates back almost a thousand years. Today, we will have an easy day to discover the charm of this city. (B, L)
Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay
After breakfast, we will drive the 3 hours to Halong Bay where we’ll transfer to our private boat. We will spend two days cruising the crystalline emerald waters of Halong Bay, giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. We will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch followed by a swim and time to explore a cave. We will then find somewhere to anchor for the night and listen to tales of Vietnam. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi
Start the day off with a refreshing swim and a good breakfast whilst the sunrises! This morning we will have fun exploring the bay on kayaks. After lunch, we’ll return to the main harbor and drive back to Hanoi. Tonight a relaxing evening awaits with a Vietnamese dinner followed by a performance at Hanoi's famous Water Puppet Theatre. Day 5: Hanoi and overnight train to Hue
Spend the day as you wish before boarding the overnight train to Hue. (B)
Day 6: Hue
Today, we’ll embark on a tour around this fabulous city. We’ll start with a visit to the Citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City, the Emperor's private residence. We’ll also visit the Imperial Museum and the vibrant Dong Ba riverside markets. In the afternoon, we’ll cruise on the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda and Tu Duc Tomb. To round off the day's activities, we will visit to one of Hue’s many fine restaurants to sample some of the local delicacies. (B, L)
Day 7: Hue – Hoi An
Today, we’ll continue south by road to Hoi An. The journey takes about 5 hours but the scenery en route is beautiful as we hug the coastline of the South China Sea before winding our way up the spectacular Hai Van Pass. In the afternoon, we will have our first glimpse of Hoi An with a walking tour of the old quarter. (B, D)
Day 8: Hoi An Free day
Hoi An, formerly know as Faifo to early Western merchants, is a charming, small town which can be easily explored on foot.. You can spend your time walking around the historic town soaking up the atmosphere or head off on a scenic ride to Cua Dai beach, about 4 km away, stopping along the way at some of the neighboring villages. There's even the chance to improve your culinary skills with a Vietnamese cooking lesson! (B)
Day 9: Hoi An – Nha Trang
Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Nha Trang.
We will spend the afternoon visiting the Oceanography Museum and Cham Temple. (B)
Day 10: Nha Trang – Mui Ne
Transfer to Mui Ne and check in to your beach resort. (B)
Day 11: Mui Ne
Today is at leisure to enjoy the sun, sand and sea of this coastal town. (B)
Day 12: Mui Ne
Another day on the beach! You can visit the sand dunes should you wish! (B)
Day 13: Mui Ne- Ho Chi Minh City
Departing Mui Ne this morning, we’ll head to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). It is around 3 hours drive. We’ll arrive in HCM City just before lunch and check in to our hotel. Our guide will lead us through a walking tour of the centre the city. (B)
Day 14: Depart Ho Chi Minh City
At leisure until transfer to the airport for your departure flight of Vietnam. (B)
