This tour offers a unique glimpse into the hidden Ho Chi Minh City. Visit places that tourists usually don’t see and meet with the Vietnamese people as they pursue their daily life.  This tour also incorporates the Cu Chi Tunnels, giving you an indication of what life was like underground during the Vietnam War.

We will pick you up from your hotel at around 8am and drive to Chua Nghe Si Pagoda. This is not only a pagoda, but also the resting place for many famous Vietnamese singers, actors and actresses. Here we will enjoy tea with the keepers, whilst listening to their fascinating stories.

We will then visit a local market in Tan Binh, selling a variety of food. Here, our guide will introduce us to the flavors of Viet Nam. We will taste exotic fruit and vegetables, discover silk and jewelry shops, and learn more about Vietnamese rice and coffee. 

Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch in one of the popular restaurants.

After lunch, we will drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height the tunnel system stretched over 250km from Ho Chi Minh City to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction.  For those interested there is even the opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range!

Optional – finish our day with an hour's relaxation and massage in a professional Vietnamese Spa. The tour will finish at around 06h30pm.

We all had a fantastic day in Ho Chi Minh City, it was great to see a few ‘off the beaten track’ places and meet so many interesting people.
