“Tables” is an exhibition about the art of designing tableware and traditional skills of France. To develop and modernise the image of tableware, the most outstanding designers and French producers have been gathered. The tables are approached by aesthetic and contemporary vision as well as progressive ideology. The exhibition is produced by l’Institut Français.

“Toyota Concert Tour 2013”

Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF) in cooperation with Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) announces the “Toyota Concert Tour 2013”. This is the 16th year that the Toyota Concert is taking place in Vietnam since 1998. Two performances will be done in 2 consecutive nights.

Live Show Suong Thu: the Return of Ho Quynh Huong

Ho Quynh Huong is a well-known Vietnamese singer, who is coming back to the stage on the 9th of August after 2 years of hiatus. She will be performing songs that made her career. Joining her on the date will be Ho Trung Dung, Dinh Manh Ninh and Bao Tram – three fresh faces in the music industry of Vietnam.

Concerts with the Asian Youth Orchestra

When: 10/8 and 11/8 at 8pm

Where: Hanoi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien street

Cost to attend: 200,000 to 700,000 VND

The Asian Youth Orchestra will be organized at Hanoi Opera House with conductor James Judd on 10th of August and Richard Pontzious on the 11th, with cello soloist Isserlis and Asian Youth Orchestra. The two consecutive nights be different in terms of their programs.

Live Show “Hanoi oi Con mai mot tinh yeu”

When: 10/8 and 11/8, 8pm

Where: Hanoi Friendship Culture Palace, 91 Tran Hung Dao street

Live Show “Hanoi oi Con mai mot tinh yeu” (translation: Eternal love for Hanoi) is a show all about Hanoi capital Hanoi, professionally and well-put together by musician Phu Quang – who has the best songs about Hanoi – with appearances from many top Vietnamese artists. The show will be the first and only to be invested with great detail, imagery and communication. The audience will not only be impressed, but will be satisfied and emotional after the show. The lineup for the show will be: singers Hong Nhung, My Tam, My Linh, Thanh Lam, Tan Minh, Trong Tan, and saxophonist Tran Minh Tuan.

Subscription Concert Vol. 63 “Mozart Cycle II”

Conductor Le Phi Phi, piano soloist Ngo Phuong Vi and Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will be performing at the Hanoi Opera House.

VNSO Mozart Cycle III

Where: L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien street

Part 3 of the collaboration between VNSO and Institut Français de Hanoi, with conductor Kim Xuan Hieu, oboist Hoang Manh Lam, clarinetist Tran Khanh Quang, bassoonist Van Thanh Ha and hornist Ta Tien Dat.

The third part to the ‘Mozart Cycle’ concerts. VNSO will be joining again and the ticket price is very affordable, so grab yourself a seat if you love classical music.

Vietnam Japan 40 Autumn Concert Tour – Hanoi

When: 14/9 and 15/9 at 8pm

Where: Hanoi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien street

This concert features conductor Honna Tetsuji and Pianist Kodama Momo.

Free traditional music concert

When: every Saturday, 8.30pm

Where: Fansipan mushroom hotpot, 6th floor, 34 Hoang Cau st.

Cost to attend: Free

Every Saturday night at 8.30pm, at Fansipan mushroom hotpot, you can enjoy a performance from “Bach Van ca tru and friends”. Many well-known traditional instrumentalists will be joining, such as Ngoc Anh (flute), Thu Ha (tam thap luc), Thanh Nam (drums), Bach Van (ca tru singer) and Ba Hai (dan day – ca tru instrument), and they will perform both classic melodies and contemporary music by traditional instruments with a very interesting twist.
