A half day cruise to the famous Pak Ou Caves located on the riverbank near Luang Prabang, filled with thousands of Buddha statues and figurines left by merit-makers over the centuries.
The Pak Ou Caves are located at the mouth of the Ou River. Considered a holy site by locals, follow in many kings' footsteps along this ancient pilgrimage route. Cruise upriver and take in the sights of daily life along the riverbanks. Visit one or both of the caves and see the amazing array of Buddha images deposited by merit-makers. A local lunch is served at a restaurant overlooking the caves before continuing downstream to Luang Prabang.
