Day 1: Dong Hoi- Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park
Transfer from Dong Hoi to Chay Lap village, a 45 minute drive just outside the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. After arriving at the village, you will then be welcomed by a local family at the local house. Your stay for two nights is in a traditional, yet comfortable house built intricately using the local available resources. This will enable you to have a comfortable stay in the local home-stay experience.
You will be participating in different activities during the day such as a Dragon Boat tour into the Phong Nha Cave. After your return to the village to explore local life style, you will have an opportunity to participate in social activities such as fishing in the pond, planting and gardening, or even playing football with the locals in the afternoon. After a day filled with excitement and fun, you will be served dinner with well cooked fresh locally grown food.
Day 2: Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park
After enjoying breakfast at the home-stay, you will venture outdoors amongst the vast abundant nature. You will bike around to this outlying area and visit the memorial site of Tam Co Cave along the road following the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail. Following this, further biking will take you to the “Nuoc Mooc Cold spring” where leaving the bikes, your guide will take you for a short hike eventually arriving at the fresh spring for a swim. A picnic lunch will be organized to enjoy out with the out-door activities.
Return to your homes-stay in the afternoon. You will have time to relax, read books or simply go for a walk around the village. In the evening you can help the family to prepare the food in the kitchen where you will have the opportunity to learn how to cook Vietnamese food by your chosen family.
Day 3: Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park- Dong Hoi
After break-fast in the morning, you take a kayak and paddle along the clear blue “Chay River” that cuts a ravine through the jungle. Paddle into the mouth of Dark Cave to peer into its shadowy inner caverns. Enjoy the last lunch at the home-stay and bid farewell to the family. You will be transferred to Dong Hoi town in the afternoon for a night stay at a comfortable Sun Spa. Spend rest of the afternoon by the beach.
