Cycling to the temples is a great way to get off the beaten track and down the small paths away from the tourist routes. This one day itinerary gives you a short insight on the main temples of the impressive cultural heritage of Angkor as well as on the daily life in the countryside.

Cycling to the temples is a great way to get off the beaten track and down the small paths away from the tourist routes. This one day itinerary gives you a short insight on the main temples of the impressive cultural heritage of Angkor as well as on the daily life in the countryside.

We commence with a ride from your hotel to the South Gate of Angkor Thom Ancient City. Here we explore the centerpiece of the ancient city, The Bayon. The Bayon contains 54 towers decorated with more than 200 enigmatic smiling faces. Also included in the morning tour is the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of Leper Kings, as well as The Ta Prohm Temple.

We enjoy lunch in the Angkor Complex before embarking on our discovery of Angkor Wat, easily the most famous and best preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. We then ride through hidden paths to the Western Baray, a former Royal Pond. Time to freshen up and ride or drive back to Siem Reap.
