Water activities play an important part of any holiday to Thailand and parents with children, or those adults who are simply kids at heart, will be pleased with this recent announcement.

Three of the Kingdoms water parks have been nominated among the best 10 in Asia in a prestigious Travellers’ Choice award 2017.

These awards are significant for two reasons. The first being that the largest global travel website TripAdvisor organised the poll. Their website touches an astonishing 390 million visitors per month and receives millions of reviews from international travellers on everything related to tourism.

The second highly important reason is that it was those individuals who visited Asia and experienced the variety of water parks on offer that made the final decision.

The popular seaside resort of Pattaya clinched 2 of these spots with Ramayana Water Park taking 3rd place and the more recently opened Cartoon Network Amazone facility taking 7th spot. Just above this in 6th place was the Water Park at Black Mountain, Hua Hin.

TAT Governor Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn was quite rightly pleased that visitors to these parks offered such positive reviews and praised the efforts of these organisations. He also stressed that such prestigious awards could only enhance Thailand’s growing reputation as a holiday destination which is family-friendly.

Algorithms used by TripAdvisor to establish placings in the poll included the number of water parks reviewed by travelers across the globe, the quality of these reviews and the associated ratings given.

Some of the more pertinent comments given in the reviews included facts such as Ramayana having water rides that were excellent along with beautiful, clean water. Black Mountain was praised as an excellent day out in a safe and family-friendly environment while Cartoon Network Amazone offered rides that varied in degree of thrill-factor to suit all levels of courage in a state-of-the-art environment.

It is understandable why these water parks are so popular with Ramayana offering 21 water rides and 2 kid’s zones included in their 50 attractions. Black Mountain has a Tower which scales 17-metres and offers 9 slides and The Cartoon Network Amazone is a world first water park created on a cartoon network theme. It contains an incredible 150 water attractions in 10 enticing entertainment zones.

While the enticing seas around Thailand will always invite, it is becoming very apparent that the water parks on offer are an excellent day out for those who enjoy water fun galore.
