Day 1: Kota Kinabalu
Arrive in Kota Kinabalu and meet with your local guide before making your way to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and settling in at your resort and doing some light exploring of the nearby nature reserve.

Day 2: Kota Kinabalu
In the morning, embark on a short boat ride to the Marine Ecology Research Centre (MERC), located at the doorstep of the Tunku Abul Rahman Marine Park and a stone’s throw from Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah province.

Nestled in Gaya Island’s quiet Malohom Bay, this protected paradise on the tip of Malaysian Borneo is home to a diverse collection of underwater coral reefs and brightly colored fish. Learn about rare species including the giant clam, threatened by advancing climate change and the center's conservation program striving to preserve the park’s pristine marine habitat.

Afterwards, settle down for a relaxing lunch before returning to your resort for a leisurely afternoon off. Spend the night at your resort.

Day 3: Kinabalu Park
After breakfast, make your way towards Mount Kinabalu, hiking across the mountainous Crocker Range offering spectacular panoramic views of the exquisite countryside. En-route, enjoy unrivalled views of Mount Kinabalu, Southeast Asia’s tallest peak, whilst traversing this idyllic World Heritage Site. Get up close with the park’s incredible range of fauna and flora, long admired by the world’s nature enthusiasts.

Continue on to Poring Hot Springs for a refreshing dip in its hot sulphur springs before embarking on an exhilarating canopy walk 41m above the forest floor for breathtaking views of the Borneo Rainforest.  Spend the night at park headquarters, 1,500m above sea level.

Day 4: Kinabalu Park – Laban Rata
After breakfast, make your way to the park registration office to meet with your mountain guide. Start your trek at Timpohon Gate and scale vast rock faces and suspended bridges to Laban Rata Rest house, located 3,300m above sea level and boasting spectacular views of the mountain range.

Day 5: Mount Kinabalu
