ITINERARY BY DAY
Discover the incredible Khao Sok National Park with this day-long adventure. After being picked up from your Phuket hotel, travel into the Phang Nga Province, where you can see the scenery change before your very eyes as beaches fade to lush jungle. The first stop of the day is Khao Lak, an area that was once hit by a tsunami; here, you’ll sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while learning about the devastating effects of 2004’s natural disaster. Then, head into the Surat Thani province where the evergreen forest of Khao Sok National Park begins. As you drive up a winding, mountainous path, wave ‘hello’ to local villagers before arriving at the park’s entrance where your elephant trek will commence. Journey through river-source jungle, rugged terrain and mountain slope for close to an hour, all on the back of a majestic elephant!
After your once-in-a-lifetime elephant trek, enjoy a delicious, authentic Thai lunch at Rainforest Camp, a riverside restaurant that grows its own plants. Then, discover more of the incredible park with a bamboo raft ride: travel downstream in a traditional bamboo rafts, once the main source of local transport for both people and goods for trade. Sit back and relax as you take in a different side of the jungle, all from the river itself. Afterwards, your tour will wrap up as you journey back to your hotel.
