Escape to paradise for a day with a trip to the famous Koh Tapu that rose to fame after its appearance in the James Bond movie, ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’, and its surrounding islands. An incredibly beautiful island with sweeping views of sandy beaches and sparkling azure water, this island is about an hour drive and short boat ride from Khao Lak, where you will be picked up from your hotel in the early morning. After weaving your way through the majestic mangrove forests of Phang Nga Bay via traditional Thai long-tail boat, you will arrive on the island, just in time to take photo of the incredible karst rock formations.

After you arrive on the island, travel by local boat to a canoe station and paddle your way around the mystical grottoes and caves of Phang Nga Bay, a World Heritage Site. Then, take a boat to the fishing village of Koh Panyi, which is entirely built on stilts where you will enjoy a delicious lunch and a guided tour of the unique community before heading back to the mainland. Lastly, before returning to your hotel in the early evening, you’ll pay a last visit to a beautiful cave temple, where macaque monkeys will most likely be awaiting your arrival.
