Turn back to a time when water transport was the primary mode of transportation and invigorate the senses with fresh fruits, flowers, colourful clothing, souvenirs and more along the waterways. Rent a paddle boat to experience the market from the water or walk around to check out the many stalls.

Drive south to Hua Hin – a fashionable seaside resort town – to visit its famous railway station before crossing town to witness the days catch being brought in at the main fishing pier. Enjoy some fresh seafood for lunch at a nearby restaurant then drive southwards to visit the Mrigadayavan Palace. This golden teak mansion was constructed as a seaside retreat for King Rama VI and is often referred to as the palace of ‘Love and Hope’. Wander the grounds, taking in the fresh sea breeze before returning to Hua Hin to visit the towns vibrant night market which is hugely popular with both tourists and locals every day of the week.

DAY 2 - Cha Am - Chumphon

Spend an incredible day exploring limestone mountains, hidden coves, sandy beaches and marshy wetlands with a day tour of Khao Sam Roi Yot, Thailand’s first coastal national park. A small but fascinating area, this park is home to a great diversity of around 300 bird species, among other flora and fauna. Begin with a private transfer from Cha Am then travel by boat to visit a pineapple plantation within the park. Continue to Bang-Pu to explore this thriving fishing village. Get a glimpse of the local peoples’ daily lives before taking a boat to Prayanakorn Beach (subject to sea conditions) for the chance to explore the magnificent Phraya Nakhon Cave. One of the most mystical and mysterious landmarks of Thailand, this hidden cave features a gold and green pavilion built by King Rama V, surrounded by dripping stalagmites and under an expansive cave dome.

In the afternoon, travel further south towards to the coastal province of Chumphon about 4 hours drive away. To break up the road trip, stop along the roadside to enjoy fresh pineapples or take a look around one of the pop-up fruit markets. Arrive at the hotel in Chumphon in time for dinner.

DAY 3 - Chumphon - Krabi

Shortly after breakfast, depart the pleasant surroundings of Chumpon for neighbouring Surat Thani province to see Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya with its impressive Mahayanan-style stupa. Continue to the silk weaving village of Baan Phumriang, well-known in the region for its uniquely coloured cloth called ‘Phumriang Silk’. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant then continue overland through Ao Luek to eventually reach Krabi in the afternoon. Enjoy a laidback dinner by the famous Ao Nang Bay.

DAY 4 - Krabi

Choose to spend the day relaxing around the hotel or participate in one of two optional trips. The first heads out from Ao Nang on a memorable boat trip around the surrounding islands, while the second tour takes to the water on kayaks exploring the region’s famous mangroves through a series of small waterways.

DAY 5 - Krabi - Phuket

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Susan Hoi - an archaic shell cemetery within Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park. Walk across the fossil-covered beach scattered with seashells dating back more than 75 million years. Later board a boat to cruise the area, taking in marvellous views of Phang Nga Bay & James Bond Island.

Finish the trip in Phuket, arriving at the resort mid-afternoon.
